With many years of experience of working with Dentists on professional indemnity insurance matters, we understand that from time to time you may want to speak with – and seek advice from – other experienced dentists about clinical incidents that may occur.

If you use Experien General Insurance Services (EGIS) to arrange your dental professional indemnity insurance, then in addition to the policy coverage and legal support from the insurer, we give you complimentary access to an experienced Dental Panel Peer Support Team where you can seek independent clinical advice at a time that suits you – regarding clinical incidents.

This service is separate to the policy of insurance arranged for you with the Insurer by EGIS.  In responding to any insurance claim lodged by you on your policy of insurance, the Insurer may choose whether to include a legal team and/or a clinician in any support provided.

Services the panel will provide under the Peer Support program

Tick15 Clinical advice and recommendations on how to manage an incident.
Tick15 Advice on how to prevent any recurrences.
Tick15 Peer to peer support on clinical advice and treatment advice.
Tick15 The panel member will listen to the details of the incident and provide empathetic support if required.
Tick15 Advice on whether to escalate to Vero/CGU (the Insurer) or EGIS if it’s thought that the incident could result in a potential
or actual claim of professional negligence.
Tick15 Recommendations on how to manage the clinical element of the incident involving the client.
Tick15 Instructions on how to document and note all items as they happened or happen.

Services the panel will not provide under the Peer Support program
