Life Insurance and COVID19 Vaccinations

In the UK, the NHS is encouraging pregnant women to get the COVID-19 vaccine as new data shows that nearly 20 per cent of the most critically ill COVID patients are pregnant women who have not been vaccinated.

This news comes at the same time that Australian Life insurers are reminding the public, via a media campaign, that :

  1. A COVID-19 vaccination does not affect your ability to claim on your existing life insurance policy
  2. A COVID-19 vaccination does not affect your ability to access life insurance
  3. Life insurance covers you for any serious side effects from approved COVID-19 vaccines that meet the terms and benefits provided under your policy
