According to Zurich, one of Australia’s life insurers, in 2018 they paid over $270 million in Australian life insurance claims – a 30% increase on 2017. The claims they paid in 2018 across various product types such as Death Cover, Terminal Illness Cover, Income Protection Insurance , Total and Permanent Disability Insurance and Trauma Insurance can be seen in the table below.
