Payments And Cyber Security

Experien General Insurance Services arranges general insurance products like business insurance and professional indemnity insurance.

Life and disability insurance and financial planning is arranged by Experien Insurance Services and Experien Financial Services, and not Experien General Insurance Services.

Experien General Insurance Services has proactive steps in place to protect you and your information from cyber-attack. We also need you to take some precautionary steps to ensure the security of your information.  To protect our client’s against fraud and cyber threats, and to enhance financial security for our clients, Experien General Insurance Services does not accept payments to our account directly via EFT, Credit Card or other means. Instead, we use a trusted external payment layer.

You should only pay invoices using the Deft website portal with the relevant details advised by us. Or, if you are using premium funding arranged by us, only use one of three funders and their website portals advised by us. Note that the website address for any payment portal must begin with “https” to increase the trust on its validity. The “s” is particularly important.

Experien General Insurance Services has high standards to protect us and our clients from cyber crime. But you should always be alert to potential new scams. You should call us if you receive a message from us that comes from an unusual email address or with an unusual request. Never respond to an email that could be from us requesting you to deposit money directly into a bank account or via a mechanism that is different from previous advice. You should immediately contact our office either in person or by telephone and speak to the person handling your file if you receive an email of this nature. You should not respond to the email.

Experien Insurance Services and Experien Financial Services will never accept money directly for Life or Disability insurance premiums or superannuation or investment contributions. Always call us to discuss if you ever receive correspondence asking to pay these entities directly.  You should immediately contact our office either in person or by telephone and speak to the person handling your file if you receive an email of this nature. You should not respond to the email.
