Trauma insurance for gynaecological cancer

The Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG) is the peak national gynaecological cancer research organisation for Australia and New Zealand. The work they are doing seems very impressive.

ANZGOG clinical trials are reportedly conducted at over 60 hospital sites and include both local and global collaborations to ensure the best research is available for women.

Their purpose is to improve the outcomes and quality of life for women with gynaecological cancers through conducting and promoting cooperative clinical trials and undertaking multidisciplinary research into causes, prevention and treatments of gynaecological cancer.

Whilst they note in a recent document that survival across all cancers has improved by 19% over the past 25 years, survival for Gynaecological cancers has improved by just 7%.

It is encouraging to see improving survival rates and we hope that the good work done by those involved helps improve it even further.

Insurance products, like trauma insurance and income protection insurance, may provide financial payments if someone is ill and being treated for cancers like this. The payments can help replace lost income and fund out of pocket medical expenses.
