Updated NIBA Code Of Practice For The General Insurance Industry
The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is the peak representative body in Australia for the general insurance broking industry. On 26 October 2023, the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) published an updated Insurance Brokers Code of Practice (the Code).
The 2022 Insurance Brokers Code of Practice (the Code) sets out standards of conduct for all Members of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) and non-members who have subscribed to the Code.
Experien General Insurance Services is a NIBA member and we are pleased with the updates to the Code and the benefits the Code provides to clients. The Code provides additional safeguards for clients that are not set out in the law. In some areas, the Code sets higher standards than those required by law. No part of the Code limits, or is intended to limit, a client’s rights under the law.
