Public Liability Insurance For Dentists

Public Liability Insurance is often confused with Professional Indemnity Insurance, but they respond to different types of claims.  The former can respond if, for example, a dental patient slips on a wet floor and is injured.  The latter can respond if a dentist makes a negligent mistake during a clinical procedure.

Dental practice owners almost always hold a Public Liability policy for their practice. But some of these policies may exclude claims from patients of contracting (non employed or associate) dentists.

In this situation, the contracting dentist will need to arrange their own public liability cover (in addition to their mandatory professional indemnity insurance).

Some of the arrangers of professional indemnity insurance for dentists offer a convenient solution in this regard where public liability insurance can be added automatically and easily to an individual dental professional indemnity insurance policy.

And the policies arranged by Experien General Insurance Services do this.
