What Is Critical Illness Insurance ?

No one wants to think about illness or injury.

But many need to consider the financial implications should something happen.

Whether it’s to protect yourself or loved ones, Critical Illness Insurance is one of many products to consider. It is offered by most life insurers, who have different prices and features.

It is otherwise known as “Trauma Insurance”. And it pays a capital lump sum in the event of a claim.

Trauma Cover provides you with financial assistance if the Life Insured is Diagnosed with a medical condition that meets the criteria of the insurer’s Trauma Conditions as listed and detailed in their Product Disclosure Statement.

It can help with expenses that arise from seeking out the most relevant medical treatment possible, paying off debts or offsetting lost earnings potential while the Life Insured is on the road to recovery.

It’s usually open for applicants up to about the age of 59, and cover usually can run through to ages of between 65 and 75, but these differ from insurer to insurer.
